Pastor Helmut Reutter was born on the 2^nd February 1956 in Germany . He grew up in a family of 4 siblings (3 brothers and 1 sister) and gave his life to Jesus at the age of 17 years. Mrs. Esther Reutter was born in April 1957 and grew up with 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Pastor Helmut Reutter received the call a few months after becoming born again (he received his calling while milking a cow!). After completing his secondary school, Pastor Reutter wanted to go straight into Bible College . But his Pastor advised him to get secular training first before getting into Bible College . Pastor Reutter then went to do a 2years course in business, specializing in wholesaling, export and import.

Pastor Reutter got married in 1979, and in 1982 Pastor and his wife came to Zambia on their very first mission. The Reutter’s have two darling children, Oliver who was born in 1981 and Sandra who was born in 1983.

Pastor Helmut Reutter and his wife Esther picked up the challenge of God, to start this vibrant church in 1992 with a number of dear brethren, who shared in their vision. In 1989, during a prayer meeting, God laid a burden on Pastor Reutter that marked the beginning of Gospel outreach fellowship. The Lord gave the Pastor a clear direction and vision for Gospel Outreach Fellowship, but at the time when he received that vision, everything seemed to be so impossible, that those who the Pastor shared his vision with, could just not visualize the dream. However, in God's own time, things came to pass and the church started to pursue the "new thing" that God had told the Pastor about. Today Helmut and Esther Reutter are still as committed to the vision which has since then become reality in numerous areas. Other challenges remain and new ones are emerging. Today the Pastor and his team are committed to see the reformation of all that which has become obsolete in the church of the Lord.
