The Ladies Department is as old as GOF itself, having also been started in 1992. The aim of the ministry is to minister to the spirit, soul and body of not only every lady of the GOF, but also of other ladies in the wider community. Teamwork is the mode of work in the Ladies Fellowship. The Leadership team consists of the Chairlady, Sr Esther Reutter
Sr A.S. Mweene, Sr Loveness Nguluwe, Sr Doreen Chaaba, Sr Rebecca Phiri and Sr Jane Ngabwe.
OUR MOTTO Bringing people to Christ and God’s people to maturity. To minister wholly to the woman-body, soul and spirit. To reach out to and empower our ladies at church and the women in the community and in rural areas To reach and minister to special target groups like orphans, widows, OVC’s, hospital, prisons, street-kids etc. To serve the Lord as the ladies in the bible - e.g. Esther, Deborah, Dorcas and Ruth (Esther 4:15-17, Judges 4:5, Acts 9:36, Ruth 1)

Seminars & Conventions OUTREACH PROGRAMS HOSPITAL MINISTRY | reaching out in love to the sick |
UTH: A team of ladies visit the hospital to pray and support patients in their time of need. They also take various requisites, such as soap, clothing, Soya, HEPS, etc.
Chainama PRISON MINISTRY Ladies have been visiting the female inmates at Chimbwakaila, Mumbwa and Mukobeko prisons. Visits include giving word of encouragement and meeting the needs of sisters during their trying moments. The prison ministry now also extends to minister to male inmates through the involvement of various men of the church. Regular prison visits are conducted every 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sunday in each month.
ORPHANS , VULNARABLE CHILDREN AND WIDOWS The department supports a number of orphans and widows. Some of these are members of GOF, while others come from the wider society. The support is in form of school requisites and sometimes assistance for school-fees or other needs. There is an OVC (Orphans and Vulnerable Children) care group which was started by the ladies department in 2001. the group has gone through training and various aspects related to OVC. Plans are also underway for the Church to construct an orphanage in Kapiliyomba.
MATRONS MINISTRY: HOSPITALITY AND OTHER ACTIVITIES We participate in World Mother’s Day by giving gifts to mothers at UTH and in our church. We have supported Matero After Care, orphanages and various community schools in Lusaka and Peri-Urban Lusaka. The aim is not only to give material assistance, but also support people spiritually. We support Orphans, widows and OVC’s by making cookies, Jam, growing flowers etc. the buyer of one of these items therefore can help us to support such people with some of their requirements.
